4-(1-Ethyl-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2,4-dioxo-butyric acid methyl ester is a novel compound that has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity against cancer cells. The molecular modeling study revealed that the compound binds to the CB2 receptor and inhibits insulin resistance in transgenic animals. Additionally, 4-(1-Ethyl-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-)2,4-dioxo--butyric acid methyl ester has been shown to inhibit the transport of glucose in mice by enhancing the uptake of glucose into muscle cells. This compound also inhibits polymer film degradation and light exposure and exhibits enhanced properties in animals with basic structures.
