(R)-Simurosertib ((R)-TAK-931) is an inhibitor of the ATP-competitive cell division cycle 7 (CDC7) kinase.

(R)-Simurosertib is a ligand that binds to the beta-2 adrenergic receptor. It has been shown to activate the receptor and increase cAMP levels in cell lines, which can lead to an increase in lysosomal enzyme secretion. (R)-Simurosertib also inhibits protein interactions in the endoplasmic reticulum by binding to the hydrophobic pocket of proteins. This binding prevents protein folding and causes aggregation, which leads to cell death.
