(+)-α-Tocoferolo, comunemente conosciuta come vitamina E, è un antiossidante liposolubile che svolge un ruolo cruciale nella protezione delle membrane cellulari dai danni ossidativi. È caratterizzata dalla sua natura idrofobica, che le consente di integrarsi nelle doppie membrane lipidiche delle cellule.
