Descrizione:Polydimethylsiloxane, trimethylsiloxy terminated is widely used as a common surfactant. It is an active component of defoamers which suppresses the formation of foams and is a critical ingredient in water-repelling coatings as an active silicone fluid. It finds application in optic telecommunications, biomedical research, elasticity of polymer networks, adhesive materials and in skin-moisturizing lotions. Furthermore, it is used as a filler fluid in breast implants and as a sorbent for the analysis of headspace (dissolved gas analysis) of food. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
