Descrizione:1-Bromoadamantane is a quinoline derivative that is used as a pharmaceutical preparation. It was first synthesized in the 1950s, and has been used to treat inflammatory bowel disease. The synthesis of 1-Bromoadamantane is accomplished by the palladium-catalyzed coupling of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid with an organic solution containing the bromide salt of the quinoline. The synthesis begins with the reaction of a halide with an organosilicon compound in which one or more hydrogen atoms have been replaced by fluorine atoms, forming a fluoroalkyl halide. This reaction takes place at elevated temperatures in a solvent such as tetrahydrofuran (THF). The resulting alkene undergoes hydrolysis to form the corresponding alcohol, which is then oxidized to give either an alkyl
