Descrizione:1-(3-Chlorophenyl)-1,3-dihydro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2H-Benzimidazol-2-one is an activator of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) protein. It has been shown to potentiate the activity of mTOR by increasing the rate at which ribosomes are assembled and translating a protein. The drug also activates the transcription factor STAT3, which leads to increased expression of genes that encode proteins involved in cell growth and proliferation.
1-(3-Chlorophenyl)-1,3-dihydro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2H-Benzimidazol-2-one has been shown to inhibit chloride secretion and increase intestinal absorption in vitro assays. This drug has also been shown to suppress the translation of messenger RNA into protein in cultured cells, leading to decreased levels of certain proteins in cells.
