Descrizione:2,2-Dimethylglutaric anhydride is a reactive compound with antimicrobial properties. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to the molecular target, which is a carbapenem antibiotic in the cell wall synthesis pathway. The inhibition of this pathway leads to an accumulation of phosphate groups that are not incorporated into the bacterial cell wall. 2,2-Dimethylglutaric anhydride inhibits phosphate derivatives such as amide and molecule and has been shown to have activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecalis. This compound also inhibits progesterone receptor function in vitro studies and hepg2 cells.
