Descrizione:Diethyl 3-methoxybenzylphosphonate is a fluorinated organic compound. The synthesis of this compound begins by reacting diethyl chlorophosphite with methoxybenzaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst. This reaction yields diethyl 3-methoxybenzylphosphonate, which is then hydrolyzed to yield diethyl 3-hydroxybenzylphosphonate. The hydrolysis uses a base as a catalyst to remove water from the molecule. Diethyl 3-hydroxybenzylphosphonate is then reacted with carbon tetrachloride to give the desired product, fluorodiethylether.
