Descrizione:Dexamethasone is a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It is often used to treat various ocular conditions, such as macular edema, retinal detachment, and uveitis. Dexamethasone has been shown to inhibit the migration of leukocytes into the vitreous humor of the eye by binding to glucocorticoid receptors in the cells that line blood vessels in the retina. Dexamethasone also binds to signal peptides on proteins that regulate mitochondrial functions and glucose uptake in cells. This drug can be used for bowel disease treatment, chronic cough management, or as an injection during polymerase chain reactions.
