Descrizione:Dimethomorph is a member of the class of compounds known as phenylpropanoids. It is a hydrogen-bonding compound that has an effect on the structure of bacterial cells. Dimethomorph's major use is in sample preparation for analytical methods such as gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. It can also be used to inhibit enzyme activity in bacteria, which may lead to resistant mutants. Dimethomorph has been found to have synergistic effects when used with other drugs including ampicillin, kanamycin, and streptomycin. Dimethomorph binds to membrane receptor molecules and blocks cell wall synthesis by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis, leading to cell death.
