It binds to DNA as a potent inhibitor of DNA synthesis and RNA polymerase. 3-[2-(Dimethylamino)Ethoxy]-1-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)Phenyl]-1H-Indazole inhibits cell proliferation by binding to the beta subunit of human DNA polymerase II, blocking the extension of the 3'-end of the growing DNA strand.
