Descrizione:4-Hydroxymethyl-4-methyl-1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidinone is a hydroxylated derivative of 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether. It is a white powder that has a molecular weight of 692.5 and can be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of reactive intermediates. 4,4'-Diaminodiphenyl ether is sensitive to irradiation and will form new molecules when exposed to ultraviolet light or gamma radiation. The molecular weight of the product depends on the type of metal cation and the duration of irradiation time. For example, silver ions yield a high molecular weight product with an average molecular weight of 1,000 while alkali metal ions yield a low molecular weight product with an average molecular weight of 400.
