Descrizione:2-(4-Methoxy-phenyl)-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylic acid ethylester is a potent inhibitor of GTPase activity. It is useful for the treatment of cancer, and has been shown to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells in vitro. 2-(4-Methoxy-phenyl)-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylic acid ethylester binds to the centroid of the protein and inhibits its activity by preventing it from binding to ATP. This inhibition causes an increase in protein synthesis and cell division, leading to cell death. The molecule also has anti-inflammatory properties that may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis in malignant cells.
