Descrizione:The anti-cancer drug 7-Methoxy-6-(3-morpholin-4-ylpropoxy)quinazolin-4(3H)-one is a potent apoptosis inducing agent that can induce cancer cell death. It was synthesized and characterized by x-ray crystallography, which showed that the molecule adopts a highly flexible conformation in solution. This amide binds to the membrane of cells, causing the release of annexin from the membrane and the subsequent activation of caspases, which causes cell apoptosis. 7MMQOQ has been shown to be effective against bone cancer and other types of cancer cells in vitro. 7MMQOQ also induces genes expression and death in cells, making it a potential candidate for cancer treatment.
