Descrizione:Pyridazin-oxide is a nitro group that forms a n-oxide and hydrochloric acid when it reacts with chlorine. It can also be synthesized by nitrating pyridine or chlorinating pyridazine. Pyridazin-oxide has been shown to react with the nitrogen atom in nucleophilic attack, which damages the virus. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy has shown that this product is present in herpes simplex virus (HSV). The nitro group on this product is an important component of the molecule because it is responsible for the activation energy of its reactions, which are most likely nucleophilic attacks.
