Descrizione:Potassium methyl N-cyanocarbonodithioimidate (KMNCI) is a cell-cycle inhibitor that affects cellular proliferation. It inhibits the activation of epidermal growth factor receptor and tyrosine kinase, which are receptors for epidermal growth factor and other mitogenic factors. KMNCI also blocks the binding of chemokines to their receptors on the surface of tumor cells, thereby inhibiting the growth of tumor cells and human tumor cells. This compound has shown some success in clinical trials as an anticancer drug for lung cancer, although it was not effective against breast cancer or colon cancer.
