Descrizione:L-Phenylalanine 4-nitroanilide is a substrate for proteolytic enzymes. It has been shown to be a good substrate for the peptidases, which cleave the peptide bond in the middle of the molecule. L-Phenylalanine 4-nitroanilide is soluble in water and organic solvents and has a constant value of 1.5 x 10 M at pH 7.5 and 25°C. The most important reaction that L-Phenylalanine 4-nitroanilide undergoes is an enzymatic reaction with proteolytic enzymes, which cleaves the peptide bond in the middle of the molecule. The fluorescence probe can be used as a gel matrix to determine enzyme activities by measuring fluorescence intensity. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm can be used to measure adsorption capacity as well as thermodynamic properties of this compound.
