Descrizione:2-[2-(4-Phenoxy-2-propylphenoxy)ethyl]-1H-indole-5-acetic acid is a model system for the study of cell proliferation and apoptosis. It has shown synergistic effects with other anticancer drugs such as p-nitrophenyl phosphate, which are used to treat cancer. 2-[2-(4-Phenoxy-2-propylphenoxy)ethyl]-1H-indole-5-acetic acid has also been shown to induce apoptosis in squamous cell carcinoma cells in vitro. The mechanism of this effect is not yet clear, but it may involve the activation of caspase 3, which is an enzyme that participates in the proteolytic pathway of apoptosis.
