Descrizione:Perfluorodecanethiol is a perfluorinated thiol that has been used in coatings and as a surface treatment for plastics. It has also been used to prepare polymer films, metal surfaces, and monolayers. The chemical is commercially available as a liquid at room temperature. Perfluorodecanethiol can be used in high-throughput analysis for the detection of functional groups in organic solvents or polymers. This chemical is also used for the pretreatment of biological samples such as proteins and cells before being analyzed by microscopy techniques. Perfluorodecanethiol has shown to reduce the uptake of calcium carbonate by mammalian cells and to increase the transport properties of 3-mercaptopropionic acid across cell membranes.
