Descrizione:3-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl isocyanate (3-TFPC) is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells by interfering with multiple cellular pathways, including those involved in fatty acid and lipid metabolism, protein synthesis, mitochondrial function, and signaling. 3-TFPC can be synthesized by reacting propionyl chloride with amines. This reaction is catalyzed by a Friedel-Crafts catalyst. The resulting product can then be purified through chromatography or distillation. 3-TFPC has a basic structure consisting of a piperazine ring attached to a carboxylic acid group which is attached to an aliphatic chain containing two carbon atoms. This molecule also contains an aromatic ring composed of three trifluoromethyl groups bonded to one another.
