Descrizione:2,4,5-Trichlorobenzenesulfonyl chloride is a nucleophilic reagent that reacts with aminopropyl to form an ion-pair. This reagent has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by reacting with the functional groups on the cell wall and inhibiting bacterial growth. 2,4,5-Trichlorobenzenesulfonyl chloride also has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria such as Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus. It is used in on-line sample cells for monitoring bacterial growth in culture media. The trifluoromethyl group on this compound makes it more reactive than other benzenesulfonyl chlorides.
