Descrizione:3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl Isothiocyanate is a molecule that inhibits the mitochondrial electron transport chain. It has been shown to be effective against cancer cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species and alter the cellular redox state. 3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl Isothiocyanate is also able to inhibit glutaminyl aminopeptidase, an enzyme complex that can result in neurodegenerative disorders. This compound has been shown to have a potent inhibitory effect on enzymes in cell-based assays and is thought to work by increasing the concentration of ubiquinone oxidoreductase at the inner mitochondrial membrane.
