Due to its high biocompatibility and resistivity, it has attracted many biomedical applications. It is used in tantalum capacitors, resistive switching memories, high frequency CMOS (Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductors) integrated circuits, and high-k dielectric for DRAM (Dynamic random-access memory) capacitor applications.
