Pyridine finds applications in specialty chemical reagents like Cornforth reagent (pyridinium dichromate, PDC), pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC), the Collins reagent (complex of chromium(VI) oxide with pyridine) and the Sarret reagent (complex of chromium(VI) oxide with pyridine). Pyridine is a widely used ligand in coordination chemistry.
