Description:Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that is used in the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other disorders. Fluoxetine inhibits the reabsorption of serotonin by neurons, which increases the levels of this neurotransmitter in the synaptic space.
