The compound has not been tested in animals or humans for long-term toxicity, bowel disease, primary sclerosing cholangitis, or antiviral resistance. However, it has been shown to be efficacious in treating her2+ breast cancer and long-term efficacy (up to 3 years) in patients with chronic hepatitis C.
