Product Information
Name:2-[3,5-Bis(Trifluoromethyl)Phenyl]-N,2-Dimethyl-N-[4-(2-Methylphenyl)-6-Morpholin-4-Yl-Pyridin-3-Yl]Propanamide
Brand:Biosynth
Description:2-[3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-N,2-dimethyl-N-[4-(2-methylphenyl)-6-morpholin-4-ylpyridin-3-yl]propanamide is a serotonin receptor antagonist that blocks the binding of serotonin to its receptors. It is used in the treatment of chronic cough and emetogenic chemotherapy. Netupitant is also an antagonist of the NK1 receptor and is used in combination with other antiemetics for cancer patients receiving high doses of emetogenic chemotherapy. Netupitant has been shown to have an antidepressant effect, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the release of serotonin from platelets. Netupitant may also cause some side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or headache. These side effects are usually temporary and can be minimized by taking the drug with food or milk.
