Ref. 3D-FB10500

Product Information
Name:N(n-Butyl)imidazole
Brand:Biosynth
Description:N(n-Butyl)imidazole is a chemical compound that is used for wastewater treatment. It has been shown to be effective in the reduction of ethylene diamine (EDA) and potassium hexafluorophosphate (KPF) in aqueous solution. N(n-Butyl)imidazole has also been shown to have high chemical stability, transport properties, and ionic strength while having low toxicity. N(n-Butyl)imidazole is synthesized by reacting n-butanol with nitric acid followed by hydrolysis of the resulting nitrile. This synthesis can be done at temperatures as low as -10°C, which makes it an attractive candidate for use in cold climates where other synthetic methods are not possible or practical.
