Description:2-Bromo-2',5'-dimethoxyacetophenone is a photolytic herbicide that has been shown to be effective against a variety of invertebrates. It is used in the control of algae, weeds, and other aquatic plants in aquariums, ponds, and lakes. This product can be applied to the water surface or injected into the water column. 2-Bromo-2',5'-dimethoxyacetophenone is typically not toxic to fish at concentrations less than 0.1 mg/L, but may cause behavioral changes in catfish at higher concentrations. This product may also inhibit the heart rate of channel catfish and bluegill sunfish for short periods following exposure.
