Calcium nitrite also has a thermodynamic data from water vapor, which is the driving force in its solubility. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of calcium nitrite has been studied and found to have an intermolecular hydrogen bonding effect with the chloride ion and sodium citrate. These interactions are responsible for the increased solubility and decreased viscosity of calcium nitrite solutions.
