Diethyl (1-(3-(2-chloroethyl)-3-nitrosoureido)ethyl)phosphonate can bind to proteins at specific sites, inhibiting the apoptosis pathway in tumor cells and leading to cell death. This drug also has been used in transfection experiments for gene therapy against metastases in mice models.
