Description:Dehydro felodipine is a prodrug of the active drug felodipine. Felodipine belongs to the class of calcium channel blockers and is used for the treatment of high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and hypertensive emergencies. Felodipine's mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it is thought to inhibit calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle cells and thereby relaxes these cells.
