Description:4-Hydroxy omeprazole is a prodrug of the active form, esomeprazole. It is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease and other conditions. The preparation kit contains 4-hydroxy omeprazole sulfide and m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid, which are mixed together to produce esomeprazole. This product yields over 95% of the desired product with a purity of at least 99%.
