    Product Information

    Name:Phenylisothiocyanate
    Brand:Biosynth
Description:Phenylisothiocyanate sodium salt is a fluorescence probe that is used in sample preparation. It has antimicrobial activity and can be used to study the locomotor activity of living cells. Phenylisothiocyanate sodium salt has been shown to inhibit HIV replication by inhibiting reverse transcriptase and protease. This compound also has natural anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its reaction mechanism with malonic acid. Phenylisothiocyanate sodium salt reacts with trifluoroacetic acid to form phenylisothiocyanate, which reacts with human serum albumin (HSA) to form an adduct. The adsorption of phenylisothiocyanate onto HSA leads to a change in the conformation of HSA, which affects the physiological effects of this protein.
