    Description:Pyridalyl is a chlorantraniliprole insecticide that is metabolized by plant metabolism to the active form. It has been shown to have insecticidal activity against the larvae of agricultural pests, such as the codling moth (Cydia pomonella) and the grape berry moth (Empoasca vitis). Pyridalyl has synergistic effects with benzoates, which are also insecticides. The synergic effect may be caused by inhibition of P450 activity or by a ryanodine receptor-mediated mechanism. The acute toxicity of Pyridalyl was found to be low in mice, suggesting that this chemical may be safe for use in humans.
