By using crystal x-ray diffraction it was determined that the reaction yields mononuclear complexes. The stoichiometry of the compound is 1:1:1:5:5:5-hexafluoro-2,4-pentanedionatozirconium. Tetrakis(1,1,1,5,5,5-Hexafluoro-2,4-pentanedionato)-zirconium can be synthesized from photoelectron spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry data.
