Description:3'-Azido-3'-deoxythymidine 2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-b-D-glucuronide methyl ester is a novel nucleoside analogue with anticancer and antiviral properties. It is an activator of ribonucleosides and deoxyribonucleosides, which are used for the synthesis of DNA and RNA respectively. 3'-Azido-3'-deoxythymidine 2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-b-D-glucuronide methyl ester can be used to synthesize phosphoramidites and modified nucleosides. The compound has been shown to have antitumor activity in vitro against human leukemia cells.
