It also has antiviral properties, as it inhibits the synthesis of viral RNA. 5'-O-DMT-5-[N-(6-(trifluoroacetamido)hexyl)-3-E-acrylamido]-2'-deoxyuridine also has anti-inflammatory effects, as it inhibits prostaglandin synthesis.
