Description:2'-Deoxycytidine-5'-O-(1-thiotriphosphate) sodium salt is a nucleotide analog that inhibits the synthesis of DNA. It inhibits transcription and replication of HIV. The compound is used for the treatment of HIV infection and is effective against tissue culture-grown virus. 2'-Deoxycytidine-5'-O-(1-thiotriphosphate) sodium salt inhibits the activity of mammalian DNA polymerase and has been shown to inhibit the replication of HIV in tissue culture. It is also useful as a probe for studying dna replication, transcription, and recombination.
