Description:2-Fluoroadenosine 5'-triphosphate sodium salt is an analog of adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) that has been used as a target molecule in binding experiments to identify cells that express the ATP receptor. 2-Fluoroadenosine 5'-triphosphate sodium salt binds to the surface glycoprotein on target cells and is internalized by endocytosis, resulting in cell death. This drug has also been shown to be effective against cancer cells grown in culture.
