This compound has been synthesized by modifying the cytidine base of cytidine monophosphate (CMP) with 2'-deoxy-2'-fluoro methylene methyltetrahydrofuran (MMT) and 4-benzyl group at the 5' position. The modified nucleoside was phosphorylated to form N4-benzyl-2'-deoxy-2'-fluoro-5'-O-MMT-cytidine 3'-CE phosphoramidite. It has shown to have high purity, high quality and good solubility in water.
