Description:2'-O-tert-Butyldimethylsilyl-5'-O-DMT-N-dibutylformamide-isocytidine 3'-CE phosphoramidite is a novel nucleoside that has antiviral and anticancer properties. It is synthesized by reacting 2'-deoxycytidine with dibutyltin dichloride in the presence of DMF. The resulting product is reacted with 2,2,2-trichloroethoxycarbonyl chloride to produce the desired compound. This product is phosphorylated by reacting it with a mixture of 1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-3-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride and N,N'-diisopropylethylamine in anhydrous pyridine to yield the desired compound. The final product is purified by recrystallization from diethylether/hexane.
