It specifically binds to transfected cells and recombinant human adenosine receptors, but not to other proteins. Pretreatment of cells with N-[(4-aminophenyl)methyl]adenosine before the addition of adenosine leads to an increase in the immunoreactivity of cells and increased binding of [3H]-N6-cyclohexyladenosine. This antibody can be used for detection of guanosine nucleotides and their receptors in ovaries, and has been shown to be useful for chromatographic separation and regulation.
