Description:This kit is designed for sensitive and specific quantification of residual host cell DNA present in upstream/downstream process samples or drug products manufactured by recombinant expression in E. coli. The D1415 kit includes all the necessary reagents and consumables for quantitative PCR from extracted DNA samples obtained by your extraction method of choice. Cygnus offers DNA Extraction Kits (D100T and D100W) developed specifically for efficient and reproducible host cell DNA extraction. The qPCR reagents included in the D1415 kit feature a state-of-the-art master mix containing CleanAmp® dNTPs and Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase to prevent non-specific priming during PCR setup, and an E. coli-specific primer/probe mix containing FAM-labeled probes that are quenched with BHQ-1™ until PCR extension. The kit includes E. coli DNA concentrate and TE buffer for setting up standard curves and diluting your sample if necessary. This kit is compatible with a variety of qPCR instruments, enabling analysis using your software of choice.
