Azul de timol é um indicador de pH comumente usado em várias aplicações químicas, particularmente em titulações e como um corante biológico. É um corante sulfonftaleína que exibe uma mudança de cor dependendo do pH da solução, passando de amarelo em níveis de pH ácidos para azul em condições alcalinas.
