Descrição:Chromium(II) chloride is used in the condensation of aldehydes with trisubstituted chloroalkenes as well as in the synthesis of a highly active precatalyst for ethylene oligimerization. Further uses of chromium(II) chloride include the conversion of terminal olefins into trans-iodocyclopropanes (in conjunction with iodoform and tetraethyl ethylenediamine) with excellent results; generating bis(indenyl)chromium dimers and other various related products. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand.
