Descrição:Dibromodichloromethane is a monomer that is used as a polymerization initiator. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of wastewater and can be used as an alternative to chlorinated hydrocarbons. Dibromodichloromethane has also been shown to have metabolic effects, such as increasing blood glucose levels in rats and decreasing the number of red blood cells. The most toxic effect of this substance is its ability to cause fluorine poisoning. Dibromodichloromethane may also form tautomers, which are unstable compounds that readily change between two different structural forms.
