Descrição:D-(-)-Amethopterin hydrate is an analog of methotrexate, a chemotherapy drug used to treat cancer. It is a potent inhibitor of dihydrofolate reductase, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins. D-(-)-Amethopterin hydrate has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of kinases that regulate cell growth and survival.
