Descrição:L-Alanine 4-nitroanilide is a protease inhibitor that belongs to the group of pyridinium compounds. It has been shown to inhibit soybean trypsin and other enzymes by binding to the active site of these enzymes. L-Alanine 4-nitroanilide has also been shown to have an optimum pH of 7.2, and inhibits aminopeptidase activity in HL60 cells at concentrations of 0.1 mM. This drug also inhibits peptide hormones such as calcitonin, glucagon, and insulin. L-Alanine 4-nitroanilide is an ester hydrochloride salt that can be used for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.
