Descrição:(S)-(-)-2-Diphenylphosphino-2'-methoxy-1,1'-binaphthyl is a phosphine (organosilicon) with a 2-diphenylphosphino substituent. It can be used in the synthesis of β-unsaturated aldehydes in an organometallic reaction with alkyl halides or other sources of halides. The product is obtained by reductive elimination from the corresponding α-halogeno ketone. This compound has been shown to catalyze asymmetric reactions with amines, as well as carbonyl groups such as aldehydes and β-unsaturated ketones.
